Kahi fishing

On Friday Me, Nikau and Dad went fishing at Ahipara at

7:00am it was so cold so I popped my jacket and pants

on.We started to fish in the shallow first and caught a baby

                                                    

Snapper then we stayed out there for little bit longer then

We could move. We move out deep and saw heaps of fish

under the boat, so we dropped our lines. Nikau caught a

snapper, Dad caught a Parrot fish and I caught a big blue

Cod and Dad helped Me wind it in. Then my Dad

caught a king fish. We saw heaps of fish jumping so we  

put on our soft bait and casted until we caught a fish, and

we caught two blue cods and chucked our burley in.

Burley.

                 

     

Tidy Number Strategy

WALT: We are learning to use the making tens/tidy number strategy

9+6=?
I know that 6-1=5
Take the 1 and add it on the 9
9+1=10
then take the 5 and add it on to the 10
10+5=15
So, 9+6=15

7+6=?
I know that 7+3=10
Take the 3 and add it and on to the 10
10+3=13
So, 7+6=13

It was a little bit hard I liked it because I like learning hard things

Number Bonds

WALT: We are learning number bonds to 10,20,50 and 100.

8+2=10

5+5=10

42+8=50

50+0=50

15+5=20

10+10=20

50+50=100

99+1=100

A number bond is two numbers that make a tidy number.

I liked it because it was easy and I can get it done quickly.

All About Me

All About Me:

Hello my name is Kahi  and I like pizza
and KFC. I also have four bros named Kaiden, Damon,
Lincoln and Harry. My favourite sport is Basketball.
TSUG is another name for motorbikes which I love as
well. I also like Youtube. My favourite animals are dogs and
kittens. I like going hunting to catch deer, ducks,
possums and boars. Fishing is cool because we can catch
Snapper and blue cods.I have short hair.
My families names are Xavier, Nic,
Teina, Nikau and I have a sister named Ashley. And that is all
about me!

Waitangi day

WALT: We are learning about Waitangi day.

What should I do next time?

On Sunday I had my birthday at the lake and swam all day and  never got out because I was too cold and too warm in the water. When Nikau came in the water we went  bombing on the paddle board, out deep.

Then we lost the paddle board and told my Dad. He came out with us and found the paddle at bottom of the lake standing up. Then he had a swim with Mum. When I got out to have my cake, I was ice cold, so I got my towel and munched all the sausage rolls. After I hopped hopped back in the water I had a quick swim before we left.
