My Nan is a heartwarming and lovely person. 

She brings smiles to faces every time she gives us hugs. 

She gives us lots of money, lollies and more. 

Nan always smelt like shampoo and butterflies. 

Her hair is all snowy white, curly wurly and nice and short. 

Her eyes are chocolate brown and she always wore a shiny white necklace. 

When we come to visit her up at her house she would ALWAYS

Give us fruit from her trees. 

It has been three years since she has passed on. 

We always go visit her up at Te Kao and the cemetry. 

We will always remember her.

Imagine if Kobe bryant was still alive. He would still be shooting and dunking on james harden and matt

After watching the movie THE NUN, me and my friends who are Me, Kaiden, Damon and Harry are doing an allnighter. since it was a stormy dark knight we decided to play a game called buffalo gruff. Us four had so much fun together that we didn't even scream when we saw a bush that looked like the NUN ( it atcually was the nun). Just as we said we wern't scared anymore because we had so much fun the lights cut out. When the lights came back on I saw the NUN right in front of me. My friends had disappeared. But I realized I fainted and we thought it was all just a coincidence but little do they know. 

KD Speech 2020

Hey hey everyone,  do you like online learning or learning at school? You're probably wondering why I'm asking that question already, but it doesn't matter, my question was do you like online learning more than school? Kia ora koutou ko Kahi toku ingoa. If you think being in a class with 30 people is great  then listen up because my opinion could change your mind.  So my opinion is online learning is wayyy better than face to face classroom learning. I KNOW online learning is better than face to face. Face to face learning is awesome but not so much.  I believe online learning is better than face to face although some people think it's not, but we students like it better. Online learning is more attractive than school because face to face gets you a bit shy.If everyone in Nz had the choice of online learning or face to face mostly everyone would choose online learning, except for the people who are different and like school. Mathletics and speed skills and things like that have times tables, addition and all stuff like that, also they are the smart brain IQ’s I'm talking about. From what I've got most of the people in my class would rather learn online than learn in the classroom. Did you know, in NZ like in the Bay Of Plenty there's some schools that only have 2 days of school and 3 days of online learning in google hangout, HOW LUCKY ARE THEY >:(). What would YOU rather, online or school? Online learning is another way of thinking. Computer knowledge is like a mini brain but smarter. Is it just me or did Einstein really create technology because it can answer 99.9% of questions and can take you to things whenever you want. If you're at home and you're sick, it doesn’t really matter because you're talking through the screen. You still have to take medicine though. Sleeping in is one of the FAVOURITE things we students love to do. On school days I have to wake up at 6:45, I hate it. When I dream my mum wakes me up before I get to finish it.  Do you love sleeping in and staying up late or going to bed early and waking up early in the morning FOR GOOGLE HANGOUT? Mine would be both. Working 6 hours every 5 days is really quick and really long at the same time because when you're working you don’t realize the time. Working online on a computer can get you to choose when you want to learn.  Everyday in the morning at 7:27 I have to go down to the bus and I have to walk down my goofy driveway, UUGHH. I promise online learning can still get you smarter. If you agree with me then you’ll love this fact, because my best part about online learning is going to the pantry whenever you want and eating whenever you want. If you don't have any technology or no wifi you might like this really fun game called gutter board but I know most of you will have technology and the internet.The best thing to do if you're stuck with something you can email your teacher or talk to them in google hangout. Online learning and working for too long can actually get you really bad eyesight like me a bit. But That's why I really think online learning is better than face to face in a classroom. Procreate

My sister bought me an Apple Pen, so I downloaded the app called Procreate. I can now use a photo, and draw and colour over the top of the photo to create my own picture. I have done lots of pictures, but these are 2 of my favourite. What do you think?

Going to watch the Chiefs

One of the weekends we were down visiting Nikau, we went and watched the Chiefs play the Blues at Waikato Stadium. The Blues won the game, but it was so cool to be there. They have big flames that go off to pump up the crowd, and the crowd was trying to do the Mexican Wave. That was funny because they couldn't get it going properly. When we went back to our motel, the Blues Manager's were at our motel too.

The next night, before we came home, we went Liming on the scooters down there. That was so fun too. My mum, aunty, me and Nikau all had scooters each, and we went around the block. I wish we had scooters in Kaitaia.

   

   

KD What makes a good leader?

On Friday tomorrow I will be sitting at the front with 4 other boys who are Kalani, Damon, Lucas and Issac. We will be voted as the top 5 people in the school as leaders. I am really excited and nervous because I don't know if I will be voted to win or not. All 5 of us boys have to say one sentence about what makes a good leader. I know what I am going to say but I can't tell anyone.

Home fun and learning

This weekend was the beginning of the 2020 duck shooting season, and I went duck shooting with Sista and Nikau. We left home at 6 in the morning. It was fun, I was on the lookout for the ducks. We only got 2 Parrys but it was fun watching the dogs fetch the ducks off the lake.
Then when I got home I did my reading for 100 nights. I am reading Weirdo 3. It is a good book, and Gypsy keeps me company while I read.

 

Building Dixie a home

Nikau and dad made Dixie a cage to sleep in. She goes out there at night after we've had a play with her. We have to put blankets around her cage she sleeps in to keep her warm. She also sleeps in a beanie wrapped in a towel. We put her food in there, and she has sticks she can run up and down on. Our dog Gypsy watches so curiously.

 

 

 

Burning our big fire

My dad has been cleaning our oyster farm and bringing home all the old rotten rails and baskets we don't need anymore, and he's been putting them in a big pile to burn one day.  
My mum had a big clean out at home over the 'lockdown', and she had lot's to burn too, so me, Nikau and Teina put it all down on the fire pile too.  And today, my dad and Nikau lit the fire!  It was massive. Some people drove past and took photos it was so big. It burnt really quickly. While I was watching it burn I felt warm.

 

Possum Update

Our possum is growing well. He gets fed all the time, and we even leave kai in a container in his cage when we go to bed. He comes out and plays, he's getting used to us now, but he eats mums plants. Uh oh...

 

 

 

 

Ode of Remembrance - An Anzac Tribute

One of our Topic tasks was to video ourselves reciting the Ode of Remembrance for Anzac Day.

We hear it cited at the beginning of the service when we honour the fallen Anzac soldiers at the Anzac Dawn Parade.

It is also on plaques at Anzac monuments, and can be read by people when they go and see it.

Riding in the Forest

Today me and my family went out for a ride in the Waipap forest out my Ninety Mile. We rode there on our bikes. It was cool fun. We went up the beach and then came back through the forest. We stopped and saw Harry on the way home. Then we went into Pak n Save, and me and Nikau got McDonald's for dinner. It was so good because I haven't had it since March.

 

 

 

Pick Up Stick Challenge

When we went and visited my Nanny and Papa, me, Nikau and Teina had a quick game of Pick Up Sticks. I like playing this because you have to think carefully about what stick to choose to get, and when you move another stick you have to leave it there and then maybe someone else can have a chance at getting it.  We didn't end up finishing  because we took Gypsy my dog for a quick walk.

Baby Possum

Last night me, Nikau, Levi, and Leah went possum shooting.  We went across the road to a farm.
Nikau shot a possum in the tree and when it fell to the ground I saw a baby possum in it's pouch on it tummy. It was so cute. I took it home to show mum and dad. We gave it some kai. It sleeps all day in a cat cage, and wakes up at night for kai and a play with me. I don't know if we will keep it, but it is little so we are feeding it.

 

 

Riding down on the ranch

Today me and my brother went bike riding down in the paddock. My bike is a 4 stroke 125DRZ. When I was down there I was doing wheelies, and Nikau, mum and dad were watching me. It's easy to ride now, but at first I was nervous to ride it. Nikau pushed me to give me a start, and I was into it.
